It’s hard to review the Serpentine Running Club fairly as this was my first time running with the club and I was late leaving work meaning I had five minutes to get changed before setting off for the planned route (or should I say missing the start of the run and running half blind in the dark around Hyde Park until I eventually caught up with the slower runners of the pack).
The club house itself is great, easy to get to just off Maryleborne Road within easy tube distance of Baker Street and Edgeware Road. The members, those of whom I spoke to, were friendly and every ability appeared to be catered for; from those who run 5 minute miles to slower joggers and complete newbies.
To be able to review the club accurately, the plan is to try again next week, that way I can give an honest opinion as to what the membership benefits are. In the meantime however, do feel free to check out the club’s official website at: http://www.serpentine.org.uk/
